Suchitra Sen`s cremation ends

New Delhi: Legendary Bengali actress Suchitra Sen passed away on Friday morning. Her body was cremated at CR Das Park in Kolkata at noon. After being in the hospital for long, critically acclaimed actress Suchitra Sen passed away in a Kolkata`s Belle Vue clinic. Many stars sent out condolences on her demise as she was one of the most influential actors in Bengali Cinema. The Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamta Banerjee said “A big inspiration has fallen today. We have lost a loved one amongst all of us. May her soul rest in piece.” She was given a gun salute before she was cremated on Sandalwood pyre in Kewratola Ghat. Her daughter Moon Moon Sen lit the pyre. Before cremation her body was taken to the Golpark Ramakrishna Mission. She had been hospitalised since the 23rd of December 2013 with respiratory troubles and heart problems.
