Talk to celebrities at Emmy Awards with Facebook app

New York: Facebook has teamed up with entertainment show `Access Hollywood` to launch an app that will connect fans with their favourite celebrities in real time during the 66th Emmy Awards nights Aug 25.

The tablet app called `Mentions Box` is designed to let celebrities at the Emmy Awards answer questions from their fans.

Fans need to go to Access Hollywood`s Facebook page and ask questions for their favourite stars.

The host of the show will take the tablet to the celebrity who has been asked a question.

The celebrities will look into the tablet`s camera and provide video responses to the questions in real time.

The device is similar to a question and answer device that Instagram used at the Golden Globes awards in January.
