London: Australian actress Toni Collette is facing a multi-million dollar legal battle over a failed property deal.

The 40-year-old ‘Sixth Sense’ star and her husband Dave Galafassi have been sued over claims that they agreed to buy a house in Sydney, Australia last year for 4.1 million pounds, but pulled out when their own home failed to sell, reported a website.

Susan and Nick Kelly, the creators of Australian fashion brand Industrie, have filed a suit against the couple, claiming they lost money when they eventually sold the five-bedroom property in Paddington due to a fall in house prices.

They are suing the couple for 1.06 million pounds, which includes a petition to keep the deposit paid by Collette and her husband, as well as the loss they suffered in the sale.
