This year Father's Day will be celebrated on June 21. It falls on every third Sunday of June every year.

There can be no greater love for a child than the love of a mother, it is said. But a father's love is no less either. He is the backbone of the family, the strongest inspiration for a daughter and son alike.

He is the first role model for any daughter and he never tires out to do endless things for the love of his family.

So this Father's Day, give him all your love and attention.

Here are top 5 things that you can do for your daddy dearest -

Turn a cook for the day and put your culinary skills on display. A father always likes his little ones to prepare something special for him. Yes our mother's do it religiously for us but isn't it a delight to fix something up for your dad. It isn't always that he gets to try something prepared by his children. So put your apron on, turn into the household chef for the day and prepare a lavish meal that he can never forget and relieve him of the stress. Or you could also have a day out and cook together and make the most of it.

Also why not watch a film with your father? When was the last time you saw a movie with your family? We are always caught up in our busy lives with our friends and colleagues, but spending that quality time over a movie can actually strengthen the bond with your dad. Order his favourite pizza and turn up the volume. It may surprise you to find out how similar both of you are.

Pampering him with gifts from the market is a common thing. So, why not make him a hand-made greeting card, or maybe a collage of all your pictures together.  Old pictures bring back fond memories from the past. So let him cherish the best of his life with you.

A father is not much of a shopaholic unlike our mothers. A father-child shopping can turn out to be quite fun actually. It is always touching for a dad to see his children pamper him with things of his choice. It's always him who picks out the best for us, shops little things that will bring a smile on our face. So let's reverse the role for the day and turn the shopping delight for our dad.

Last, but not the least plan an exotic trip with him. He sure deserves some break from his hectic life and crammed schedule. If not a luxurious trip, take him out somewhere which will soothe him. Like go camping, trekking and maybe even fishing. After all the man was also once a boy. Adventurous streak never dies out in men. Bring out the child in him.
