Tracy Morgan shows signs of improvement
Los Angeles: `30 Rock` star Tracy Morgan, who was injured following a multi-vehicle acident, has shown signs of improvement.
The 45-year-old actor`s condition remains critical but stable, reportedly. "While Tracy remains in critical, but stable, condition, he continues to show signs of improvement. His medical team remains optimistic that his recovery is progressing.
"Megan (Morgan`s partner) remains by his side and is relaying the countless good wishes and prayers that his family, friends and fans have been sending their way." Morgan`s representative said.
The `Saturday Night Live` star was riding in a Mercedes Sprinter limo bus on a highway near Cranbury Township when a semi-truck slammed into the vehicle late night on Saturday, causing it to overturn.
Another semi-truck, an SUV and two cars were also involved in the accident, which killed a 62-year-old man, authorities say. The victim, James McNair, is also a comedian who used the stage name Jimmy Mack.
The truck driver pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to one count of vehicular homicide and four counts of assault by auto.
If convicted, each count of assault by auto carries a maximum 18-month prison term, while the vehicular homicide charge carries a five to 10-year prison sentence.
