Tyra drops `Banks` from name

Los Angeles: Supermodel-turned-TV host Tyra Banks has dropped `Banks` from her name to join the exclusive `one name club` pioneered by the likes of Prince, Madonna and Bono.

The `America`s Next Top Model` producer and host, announced the change on the Ellen Degeneres Show. "We can drop it right now, call me Tyra," the 37-year-old told Degeneres. "Let`s officially drop Banks," replied the host. "OK, I have officially dropped the Banks from Tyra on the Ellen show," said the former Victoria`s Secret model. The pair then played dress up as they tried on the latest trends. The pair went on to goof around with the trends of the season including floppy hats, tribal accessories, platform shoes, clutch bags and big sunglasses. "You`re not supposed to wear them all at once though," said Tyra. PTI
