London: Marilyn Monroe, who convinced the world that Gentlemen prefer blondes, has shown that she could tickle them pink too in some previously unreleased photographs.
The Hollywood legend is seen relaxing barefoot in a floaty chiffon dress for a photoshoot in her private apartment, the Mirror revealed.
Posing gracefully while sitting on the floor and reading a book, she shows off her flawless complexion, blonde curls and sensational curves in pictures by renowned portrait photographer Philippe Halsman.
The rare images, shot in the privacy of her home in Hollywood, were taken in 1952 when she was 26. That was the year she filmed ‘Niagara’ with Joseph Cotten and won her lead role in ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’.
The previously unreleased pictures appear in a new book that marks 50 years since she died from a suspected drugs overdose in 1962.
