Bangalore: After Mukesh Ambani, it’s the turn of ‘King of Good Times’, Vijay Mallya, to live up to his billionaire status with an exclusive one-acre penthouse on the 34th floor of an upcoming millionaires’ paradise in Bangalore.
A newspaper reports that the new super-luxury apartment complex would be built in the heart of India’s IT hub on a 4.5 acre piece of land on which Mallya’s ancestral home once stood. It has paved way for a 34-storey tower in which the Kingfisher boss will live in his exclusive pad.
Bang in the centre of the city, on Vittal Mallya road, the 82 flats measuring 8000 sq ft each would be, by far, the toniest new address in town.
But Mallya’s penthouse will be more exclusive as it will be one-acre in size and will comprise of a wine cellar, an indoor heated pool, an outdoor infinity pool, a gym, a salon and a spa.
The roof of the penthouse will have a helipad as well. Besides these, Mallya will have enough space to accommodate 100 cars, apart from a separate area for his vintage models, the newspaper reports.
He will also have a separate exclusive entrance and lift to take him to his designer home in the clouds.
For the other billionaires who will occupy the ‘other’ flats, the luxurious building will have a 6,000-sqft clubhouse and garden on the 5th floor, a similar sized swimming pool area on the 10th floor, badminton court on the 15th and a party hall on the 25th floor. Each flat will come with a parking space of 3-5 cars.
Furthermore, even the maids working in the apartments will have their own lobby, lifts and private quarters.
The price? Not much when one would be in Vijay Mallya’s company - Rs 20 crore/flat.
Costly? Consider this: The Prestige Group which is developing the property along with Mallya has, reportedly, already sold its share of the flats!
