Mumbai: It’s that time of the year when Kerala soaks in the spirit of festivity and celebrates the harvest festival popular across the world as Onam. The ten-day long festival culminates with Thiruvonam on September 14, Wednesday.
And as we look forward to celebrating the joyous festival, let’s catch glimpses of weavers’ craftsmanship, who produce Kerala’s traditional attire for women- the Kasavu sari.
The Kasavu sari is the off-white sari with golden brocade border that Malayalam women opt for during festivals. And when its Onam, women cannot afford to drop the traditional sari from their wardrobe.
The official Twitter handle of Kerala Tourism, shared a beautiful video that displays magic woven by weavers in traditional style.
