Mumbai: Devotees of Lord Shiva observed the last Monday of the month Sharavn (Sawan) in the Hindu calendar, today. The month of Sharavan in dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered highly auspicious.

It is believed that offering prayers to the Lord on the last Monday of the Shavan month will help the devotees by minimising their financial problems. The followers of the Lord will also be able to triumph over their foes and succeed in their professional lives as troubling issues get resolved. In addition, married couples’ relationship will bloom and prosper. 

Many devotees visited the Kashi Vishawanath temple in Varanasi, Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain and other Lord Shiva temples early Monday morning. They offered their prayers and observed fast in honour of the Lord..

Lord Shiva, the great o the Hindu trinity is considered supreme. The last Monday of Sharavn is very special as it’s the day specifically meant to seek blessings from the Lord Shiva in the month in which every day is considered auspicious.
