London: Rapper Will.i.am, whose real name is William Adams, wants to become a British citizen.
He was born in Los Angeles, but spent a lot of time in Britain since the launch of his music career.
“I want to become a proper Brit. I have been coming here for years and I just like it, it feels like home,” The Sun newspaper quoted him as saying, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
“The Voice” coach says if he gets a chance to become British, his dream home in England would be in the London skyscraper The Shard, but he admits he is unable to afford a 50 million pounds pad in the building because he doesn't earn enough
Will.i.am said: “I want to live in The Shard but it is expensive and this show doesn't really pay the bill but I'll figure it out.”
The news comes weeks after the 40-year-old was reportedly spotted house-hunting in Essex, south England.
