Yoko Ono unveils global ‘Imagine There’s No Hunger’ campaign
London: Yoko Ono has joined hands with Hard Rock International and WhyHunger to launch a global campaign titled ‘Imagine There’s No Hunger’.
The fundraising awareness campaign aims to aid fight against childhood hunger and poverty, the Telegraph reported.
The 78-year-old widow of John Lennon has asked people to ‘take a moment to imagine a nourished and abundant world, where ``the world will live as one’ on November 1.
Various Hard Rock locations will host events on that day.
The announcement about the campaign coincided with Lennon’s 71st birthday, and today is the 40th anniversary of his song ‘Imagine,’ which Ono co-produced.
A limited-edition bracelet will be available for sale to support the campaign’s efforts and people can also text the word ‘Imagine’ to 50555 to donate.
