Christina Ricci to make B'way debut

Los Angeles: Christina Ricci is all set to make her Broadway debut with Donald Margulies` `Time Stands Still`, where she will replace Alicia Silverstone.

The 30-year-old actress, best known for her roles in movies like `Casper`, `Sleepy Hollow` and `Penelope`, will step into the role played in the spring by Silverstone in the show`s limited nonprofit run at Manhattan Theater Club`s Friedman Theater.

Although Silverstone is not returning for the commercial transfer, the rest of the cast -- Laura Linney, Brian d`Arcy James and Eric Bogosian -- will reprise the parts they played in the spring, Variety reported.

Story centers on two journalists (Linney and James) who return to New York from the war zones they covered. Ricci will play the event-planner girlfriend of a photo editor, portrayed by Bogosian.
