Diana Dors`s car fetches nearly £2m at auction

London: A sports car once owned by late British actress Diana Dors has fetched nearly 2 million pounds at an auction in California.

RM auctions sold the 1949 Delahaye Roadster to a mystery buyer for 1.9 million pounds at an auction in Monterey, reports the Telegraph.

The 20ft long light blue car has a four and a half litre straight six engine, which puts out 165bhp, but has only covered a few miles after being restored.

Dors, who was born in Swindon, married three times and left 2 million pounds when she died in 1984 aged 52.
