John Lennon’s Japanese immigration form may fetch £15K

An immigration form, filled by John Lennon months before his death, is set to fetch 15,000 pounds at an online sale.

London: An immigration form, filled by John Lennon months before his death, is set to fetch 15,000 pounds at an online sale.
Lennon, who was shot dead in front of his New York apartment by Mark Chapman, had described his occupation as “hazardus” and his date of birth as “Yes Yes Yes” in the Japan Air Lines slip. The Japanese immigration form has the Beatles member’s nationality as “weird” and his entry name as “B*** **b” – naughty enough to be censored out. James Wilkinson of Fame Bureau has said that it wasn’t clear if the form was filled out on a flight or was just “knocking around” after a trip made by him or his Japanese wife Yoko Ono. “It highlights Lennon’s sense of humour and the rather childish and crude answers he gave show his unique wit,” the Sun quoted Wilkinson as saying.
