Thiruvananthapuram: The Marine Drive coast in Kochi in Kerala will witness in January what organisers say will be India`s biggest light and sound show.
The 150-minute show, `Jesus the Saviour`, would showcase the life of Jesus Christ with a blend of unique stage setting of cinematic light and sounds, at an estimated cost of Rs.3 million.
Shaji Thumpechirayil, 43, the man behind the mega event, told reporters: "This has been my dream project and it has been in my prayers since 1999."
"I am delighted my dream project is fast approaching. The show will have 300 artistes besides several animals," said Thumpechirayil, who has been a Catholic priest for 17 years.
The artists have been drawn from various parishes. The show will have four live stage performances simultaneously.
"The 15,000 square feet stage is unique... The use of original Hebrew prayers and songs adds a historical blend to the show," he said.
