London: Marilyn Monroe’s famous pink satin gown from the ‘Diamond’s are a Girl`s Best Friend’ sequence in ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’ will feature in a huge auction of famous film props and costumes.

The gown dubbed ‘the most important Hollywood dress ever’ is set to fetch 170,000 pounds, reports the a news daily. The actress donned the gown as the gold-digging Lorelei Lee in one of cinema`s most memorable song and dance sequences. The auction, one of the biggest ever held in Hollywood, is set to raise about two million pounds with an unprecedented range of 1,500 landmark items. ANI
