Mimansa Malik of Zee News awarded the HIFA Award
Delhi: Mimansa Malik, Senior Presenter and Producer with Zee News, was awarded with the HIFA Karm Bhoomi Samman Awards recently, thereby bestowing upon the Zee News family another reason to celebrate! The 6th HIFA Karm Bhoomi Samman Awards, which took place on July 8, 2012, played host to a constellation of renowned dignitaries from all walks of Arts and Humanitarianism.
Mimansa was awarded for her contribution to the field of television journalism.
The 6th HIFA Karm Bhoomi Samman Awards, the highest civilian decorations for the natives of Haryana, nominated eighteen well-known dignitaries from the state. Among the nominees, veteran film actor Om Puri, renowned television presenter and actress Durga Jasraj, and Mimansa Malik held the supreme chair amongst the selected awardees of 2012.
The ceremony was held at the National Dairy Research Institute Auditorium at Karnal. Among the chief dignitaries present were Speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Kuldeep Sharma and renowned singer Daler Mehndi.
The star-studded evening also saw many enthralling cultural performances, which included stints on tabla and qawwalis.
Mimansa Malik is a senior presenter and producer with Zee News since 1999, and has won many laurels during her career. She is the recipient of the prestigious Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Award, Madhav Jyoti Alankaran, Rajdhani Ratna Award, Ekta Mission Excellence Award, Haryana Gaurav Puraskar, and many others during her more than a decade long stint with Zee News.
Personalities who have earlier been awarded by HIFA include S.Y. Quraishi, Pandit Jasraj and Prahlad Kakkar.
HIFA is involved in the promotion of art and culture, and humanitarian work. Distinguished people of Haryana origin, who have made a mark in the territories of art and humanitarianism, are awarded by HIFA every year. The honour included an angavastram, a certificate of merit and a cash award.
