Nick Jonas to make theatre debut
London: Disney star Nick Jonas is set to make his London theatre debut in `Les Miserables`.
The 17-year-old Jonas Brothers singer will play the part of Marius in Britain`s longest-running musical at the Queen`s Theatre in the prestigious West End district for a three-week period from June 21, Daily Mail online reported.
Nick was first earmarked for the role when he was just 10-years old after being spotted by producer Cameron Mackintosh playing Gavroche in the production`s run on New York`s Broadway.
"I went up to him at the closing night party in New York and told him he was terrific and hoped that one day he would return to play Marius. He and his father and I agreed that it would be great if he came and played Marius here in London," Cameron said.
Cameron has praised Nick for his commitment to the production, as the `Fly With Me` hitmakers broke off from a concert tour to allow their brother to appear in the West End show.
"He has bent over backwards to fit it all into his schedule," Cameron said.
