PG Wodehouse`s `Jeeves and Wooster` set to debut on West End

London: `Jeeves and Wooster,` which were created by PG Wodehouse almost a hundred years ago, are now set to grace the theatre at West End.

Valet Jeeves will be played by Matthew Macfadyen while Stephen Mangan will play the role of Bertie Wooster in `Perfect Nonsense,` by Robert and David Goodale, the BBC reported. The play, which has the blessing of the Wodehouse Estate, will open in Richmond and Brighton in October ahead of a West End run at the Duke of York`s Theatre. The new play is based on the 1938 novel `The Code of the Woosters` and is going to be directed by Sean Foley. Jeeves and Wooster made their first appearance in the 1915 short story `Extricating Young Gussie` and have since appeared in films, on TV and radio and on stage. ANI
