Streep to play Curie on stage
London: Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep is all set to play physicist-chemist Marie Curie in a star-studded new play.
The `Mamma Mia!` star will take on the title role for a special reading of Alan Alda`s `Radiance: The Passion of Marie Curie`, which will also boast of Amy Adams, Allison Janney, and Liev Schreiber in the cast, reported Contactmusic.
The drama explores Curie`s career studying radioactivity as well as her tumultuous private life.
The performance will be held to mark the opening of the World Science Festival in New York City on June 1.
