Los Angeles: Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino`s shelved script `The Hateful Eight` will be given a live stage reading. The 51-year-old director was working on bringing the Western to the big screen, until the screenplay was leaked online in late January.
Tarantino has now announced that a live reading will take place at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art`s Bing Theatre on April 24 in an event that will not be recorded or streamed. Film Independent president Josh Welsh said, `Quentin Tarantino is a key figure in the independent creative community. "We are thrilled that Quentin will be holding the World Premiere Staged Reading of his script of The Hateful Eight with Film Independent at LACMA." Tickets will be available for USD 200 to members of the LACMA Film Club, the New York Times Film Club and Film Independent from April 9.
