Los Angeles: Actor Darren Criss, best known for his role of a gay student on TV series 'Glee', will star in the revival of the hit play 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch' for his Broadway return.
The 28-year-old actor announced his upcoming gig in a short video posted on his Facebook as an update to his fans, reported Aceshowbiz.
He will play rock singer Hedwig Robinson for a total of 12 weeks and his performance will be kicked off on April 29 this year at the Belasco Theatre, following John Cameron Mitchell?s exit on April 26.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, whether you like it or not... DarrenIsHedwig HEDWIG on Broadway," he captioned the video.
This marks the fifth headliner to play the role since the production opened in April 2014. Criss made his Broadway debut succeeding actor Daniel Radcliffe in 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying'.
