A nine-day-long Jaipur Theatre Festival, titled Jairangam-2014, is set to begin here from December 8, its patron Sanjay Kothari said today.

Jaipur:A nine-day-long Jaipur Theatre Festival, titled Jairangam-2014, is set to begin here from December 8, its patron Sanjay Kothari said today.

Jairangam will present 123 shows including 100 Nukkad Natak by school, college artists, 15 major theatres, five Ekala Chala Solo theatre during nine days of festival, Kothari told a press conference here.

School and college artists will perform Nukkad Natak on the streets here and the best ones would awarded, he said.

A special event called "khusboo-e-jaipur" will focus on the photographs of Jaipur's flavours, glory and heritage taken by lensmen from November 1 to 25. The best pictures would be awarded, he said.

Famous plays like Samjahuta, Gadhe ki Baraat, Sakharam Binder, Court Martial, Salaam India, Tajmahal ka Tender will be showcased free of cost to viewers.
