Musical on 'Chhota Bheem' to be screened in the capital

New Delhi: 'Chhota Bheem', one of India's most loved animation character on TV, is set to get a musical treatment, which will be staged here.

Sachin Gupta, who is the recipient of the National Award "Natya Bhushan", is behind the new venture.

This is the first musical venture of 'Chhota Bheem' producers Green Gold Animation Pvt Ltd, founder-CEO Rajiv Chilaka and COO and executive director Samir Jain.

"The three day musical show will be held at Siri Fort auditorium on July 24, 25 and 26. There will be nine shows over the period of three days with 35-40 actors from my repertory performing live. You will see 'Chhota Bheem' on stage and amongst the audience. There will be about six-seven music pieces based on the songs you've heard before," Sachin said.

This is the first time the owners of the franchise have parted with the copyright for a stage version.

"The whole idea was to bring out Dholakpur in reality," Jain said. Tickets for 'Chhota Bheem' musical can be booked online. The price of the ticket ranges between Rs 900-3000 which vary on the basis of seat allocation and other perks.

The duration of the show will be one hour approximately. Sachin along with his team is confident and looking forward to the success of the three-day musical treat.
