Mumbai: The makers of `Bodyguard`, have adopted a novel way to publicise their film wherein any local can become a bodyguard for a day to both the lead stars Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor separately while they travel to various cities for the movie promotions.
Directed by Siddique and produced by brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, the film will see Salman essaying the role of Kareena`s bodyguard in the film as her life is under threat.
According to sources, one can be `Bodyguard` to Salman and Kareena for a day in every city they travel and protect them through the day. The idea is to make people live a life of a bodyguard. Selected person will be a shadow to Salman or Kareena in each city they travel to.
"We are traveling to around 15 cities. Both Salman and Kareena individually will be traveling and promoting the film. In every city they would have a local bodyguard who would be their `personal bodyguard` for the day. As a concept it is a extremely enriching experience," Agnihotri said.
`Bodyguard`, a remake of 2010 Malayalam movie of the same name, is set to hit cinema-houses on August 31.
