New Delhi: After marrying Aditya Chopra in a hush-hush ceremony in Italy last month, Rani Mukerji is back to work. Pradeep Sarkar`s `Mardaani` resumed shooting for its last schedule on the 28th of May.
The film has Rani essaying the role of Shivani Shivaji Roy, a cop at the Mumbai Crime Branch, whose life changes when she takes on a dangerous case. This is the first time Rani will be playing such a role. The actress who shot to fame with Karan Johar`s `Kuch Kuch Hota Hai`, has created a niche for herself in B-Town with her acting prowess and has won several awards including a National Award for `Black`.
Post her secretive wedding to Aditya, Rani stayed away from the limelight, and has come out only to throw a reception party for their close friends in early May. The bash was attended by some of the biggest names in the industry like Karan Johar, Vaibhavi Merchant, Kirron and Anupam Kher.
Post marriage, the Chopra bahu is taking care of both her families. It has also come to light Rani may have been ghost directing `Mardaani` and has taken on the role of creative director for YRF recently. With Rani taking on the garb of a toughie on screen and off screen, her fans have a lot of expectations from `Mardaani`.
