New Delhi: Bollywood romantic comedy `Shaadi Ke Side Effects` didn`t prove to do as well as it was expected. As per the critics, Vidya Balan and Farhan Akhtar gave good performances but the storyline was weak which acted as an obstruction in terms of Box Office collections.
After a spectacular performance in `Bhaag Milkha Bhaag`, Akhtar has donned an entirely different role in the film. Undoubtedly both their acting skills were appreciated and the film has managed to collect approximately Rs 20.8 crore on its opening weekend, according to reports from a leading channel.
But, now it is going to face a stiff competition because of three major releases this week; `Gulaab Gang`, `Total Siyappa` and `Queen`.
Madhuri Dixt and Juhi Chawla starer `Gulaab Gang` is a Women`s Day special release directed by Soumik Sen. The expections are high as the duo will be seen together for the first time and Juhi`s negative role has invoked curiosity.
Directors of `Total Siyappa` and `Queen` also have great prospects. Kangana Ranaut as a punjabi phatakri in her upcoming release `Queen` is expected to mesmerise the audience. And with the dapper Pakistani actor, Ali Zafar and the beautiful Yami Gautam `Total Siyappa` can be a strong contender at the Box Office too.
`Shaadi Ke Side Effects` has been directed by Saket Chaudhary and stars Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan in the lead roles
Will `Shaadi Ke Side Effects` be able to recover its cost or fails to impress remains to be seen in the coming few weeks?
