Rajkot: Director Subh Mukherjee says his upcoming comedy `Shakal Pe Mat Ja` is "funny" is based on a real-life incident that took place at Delhi Airport eight months ago.
Talking to reporters here during a promotion programme, Subh, who has also acted in the film, said he himself was one of the "victims" of this incident.
"The story is about four youths who are mistaken for terrorists and arrested by the security personnel," he said.
"Something like this happened to me when I was at Delhi Airport. I was taking pictures, when police detained me and interrogated me for more than eight hours," he said.
Hrishitaa Bhatt, co-producer, said, "I did not act in the film but as the story had a potential, I decided to be a co-producer."
Bhatt had earlier acted opposite Abhishek Bachchan in `Shararat`, and Shahrukh Khan in `Ashoka`.
