New Delhi: `2 States`, based on the eponymous novel by Chetan Bhagat is the story of Krish Malhotra and Ananya Swaminathan, played by Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

The romantic comedy has been directed by Abhishek Varman, and is being backed by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala. The expectations run high with `2 States` as it is Abhishek Varman`s first and speculations are already rife about the red-hot chemistry shared between the lead pair.

Here’s the tweet review:

#2States stays true to the book by @Chetan_Bhagat. The part Autobiographical best seller does raise the bar for Abhishek Varman and the lead

#2States @Aliaa008 and Arjun Kapoor share a sizzling chemistry in the movie. Definitely a couple to watch out for.

Shahrukh, Ranbir, Saif Ali Khan & Asin Thottumkal were approached for it . But it seems that Alia and Arjun are a great choice for #2States

Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have made a terrific soundtrack. Almost all songs have that beautiful fresh foot-tapping quality. #2states #LochaEUlfat

Offo is one high energy song... Shankar ehsaan loy really catch the nerve of the young love #2States

The humour in the movie is crisp and modern. The youth would definitely love it. #2States

Amrita Singh plays the role of a typical Delhi Punjabi Mom to perfection. #2States

North Indian Punjabi boy from Delhi vs Tamil Brahmin girl from Chennai. Has Bollywood overdone this plot? #2States

Even with the frills, #2States attempts to stay true to a modern day rom-com. Could have done away with the synchronised dance routines.

Kirron Kher finally has a competitor in Amrita Singh for the role of a loud but lovable Punjabi Mum. #2States

Arjun's rugged action hero has been reigned in well as the boy next door in #2States.

#2States attempts to break the pre-conceived notions about inter-caste marriages. Will have to wait whether it works for the movie overall

The lovebird in #2States are not reckless rebels without a cause. A mature relationship unfolds.

Amrita Singh, Ronit Roy, Revathy and Shiv Subramanyam are all perfect for the characters that they essay in #2States
