Mumbai: Aamir Khan can be a nightmare for many directors in a way that Khan intrudes too much into their creative domain, but ‘Delhi Belly’ helmer Abhinay Deo begs to differ. The filmmaker is not only leading the ship from the front but is also taking active participation in the film’s publicity and its release.
Expressing his take on Aamir’s alleged domineering nature and his equation with the superstar, Deo, said, "Aamir and I are sorry to disappoint those who were looking for fireworks between us. I`ve been in the loop throughout the post-production of Delhi Belly. I even cut the first teaser trailer. Aamir and I know the truth about our rapport. People can say what they like."
Not too long ago, Anusha Rizvi, director of the satirical comedy ‘Peepli Live’ had major issues with the industry’s ‘perfectionist’ over the film’s promotional campaign. Even Amol Gupte, who wrote ‘Taare Zameen Par’ had differences with Khan during the shooting of the film.
But Deo has a contrasting view point. He is elated to have received huge support from Aamir. He says that he has been informed about all the developments that are taking place as far as ‘Delly Belly’ is concerned.
