Mumbai: One of a kind cinema auteur Prakash Jha claims that his next film ‘Aarakshan’ is better than his last outing ‘Raajneeti’. ‘Aarakshan’ approaches the issue of reservation and quota system in India. This venture of Jha stars biggies like Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and also Prateik Babbar.

Prakash Jha is confident about ‘Aarakshan’ and the master helmer has his own good reasons for placing the film in higher esteem than his last hit ‘Raajneeti’.

A close associate of Jha revealed to the media, “After the success of ‘Raajneeti’, Prakash Jha`s upcoming film ‘Aarakshan’ has generated big interest among the trade circles. Moreover, in Jha`s own estimation, ‘Aarakshan’ is a notch above ‘Raajneeti’ since he believes that it has a more focused storyline than his previous film.”

Jha said that ‘Aarakshan’ is not the kind of flick which will dictate or preach any solutions to the issue of caste system. According to him, “This is just a way to let out the feelings that society has been suppressing for years. The pain is on all the sides. I have tried to understand the reality of it.”

‘Aarakshan’ recently courted controversy over Saif Ali Khan being casted as a dalit in the film. A certain dalit Suraksha Samiti has sent Jha a letter at his Patna office, claiming that Saif Ali Khan hails from the royal family and his playing a dalit is an insult to their community. The letter also threatens Jha of `serious repercussions` if he doesn`t explain why he has caste Saif for the role.
