Abhinav Kashyap gets booted from ‘Dabangg’ sequel
Mumbai: After setting the silver screen on fire with its phenomenal Box Office success, ‘Dabangg’ director Abhinav Kashyap has finally been kicked out from its much awaited sequel.
In case you are wondering what led to the sudden expulsion of Abhinav Kashyap’s from the ‘Dabangg’ franchise, buzz has it that Salman Khan did not enjoy working under Abhinav Kashyap and the duo even had differences during the making of the film. As a result, ‘Dabangg 2’ will be directed by either Arbaaz Khan or Sohail Khan.
Talking to a daily on the reason why Kashyap was booted from the ‘Dabangg’ sequence, a source said, “All is not well between Abhinav and Salman. The actor and the director had some tiffs during the shooting of ‘Dabangg.’ This has resulted in certain very crucial roles being altered at the last moment. Abhinav will not be a part of the sequel of the film. While most of the cast remains the same the only major change will be the director. The sequel has already been announced. It will be titled Rohinhood Chulbul Pande, with Salman, Sonakshi, Arbaaz and Sonu Sood definitely as a part of it.”
Apparently, after several rows with Abhinav, Salman made it a point to sit at the edit of ‘Dabangg’. It is believed that Salman even took help from his dear friend David Dhawan. In fact, the final cut was released only when Salman was happy with the entire editing of the film.
Rumour has it that post the success of ‘Dabangg’, Kashyap started quoting exorbitant fee from various production houses. Well, that’s not all as Kashyap was also criticised in Bollywood for his overbearing nature.
Of late, Abhinav has signed a film with Shri Astavinayaka Cine Vision with Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
