Aditya Chopra wants ladylove Rani’s foe Vidya?
Mumbai: When it comes to business, even foes turn friends. Buzz has it that Yash Raj Productions is desperate to have Vidya Balan on board for their upcoming project.
Apparently, the talented actress has not been in talking terms with Aditya Chopra and had turned down offers to work with his banner earlier.
But Vidya’s mentor Pradeep Sarkar is hell bent on bridging the gap between the ‘Ishqiya’ star and YRF. It is believed that Vidya had differences with her mentor and the two had parted ways when she refused to do ‘Laaga Chunari Mein Daag’. The role was eventually offered to Rani Mukerji.
The film was Sarkar’s first film with Yash Raj. However, the film proved to be a dud at the Box Office. ‘Lafangey Parindey’ starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone was Sarkar’s second film with the Chopra’s, which again failed miserably.
And now, the filmmaker is keen to have his lucky charm Vidya ‘Parineeta’ Balan on board for his third film with Yash Raj.
Talking to a daily, a source said, "If all goes well, Vidya will star in YRF`s film to be directed by Sarkar. And knowing Vidya`s sensibilities of choosing a role, Sarkar has a tailor made script for her. Only Aditya should give the green signal."
However, Sarkar tried hard to keep this news under wraps and said, "Abhi tak baatchit nahin hui hai (Haven’t yet started discussing the project). Let me complete the script in all respects. But yes, I would love to work with Vidya again."
