New Delhi: Following in her youngest brother-in-law, Aditya Roy Kapur’s footsteps, the gorgeous Vidya Balan has now joined hands with the Bhatts for a love story. Balan’s on-screen love story too, like Aditya’s, will be directed by Mohit Suri.
Mohit Suri, whose last at the box office – ‘Aashiqui 2’ – turned out to be a surprise blockbuster and has garnered more than 100 crores so far, is working on Balaji Productions’ ‘The Villain’ too. In the latter, Suri will be directing Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor.
This will be the first time Vidya Balan will be seen in a Vishesh Films’ production. While Balan has been signed as the female lead, the hunt for an actor across her is still on. Known for her powerful roles in the recent past, the latest from the Bhatts seems to have attracted Vidya for the same. With films like ‘Ishqiya’, ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘Kahaani’, and the impressive turn that her career has taken over the last few years, the touch of Vidya Balan will be beneficial for Mohit Suri’s project too, we guess!
Vidya Balan, meanwhile, is busy promoting her next – ‘Ghanchakkar’ – which hits theatres June 28. Paired with Emraan Hashmi, Balan plays a Punjabi housewife with a disastrous sense of fashion in the film.
