After Katrina, Kareena to play a politician in Prakash Jha’s film?

Zeenews Bureau

Mumbai: Prakash Jha’s ‘Rajneeti’, which has garnered considerable critical acclaim and had been received well by the audience, saw Katrina Kaif essaying the role of a politician. And going by the latest buzz, Prakash Jha’s next would have Kareena Kapoor play the role of the Indian Prime Minister.

The actress, as per reports, would be seen paired across her co-star from ‘Omkara’, Ajay Devgn. Kareena, whose fans are waiting with bated breaths for her September release ‘Heroine’, might soon be seen in a de-glam avatar as a politician.

“Kareena Kapoor will be seen playing a female Prime Minister of India in Prakash Jha’s political sequel. The film is supposed to go on floors by the end of the year, and apparently it was Ajay who suggested that Kareena should play the role. Jha immediately agreed and after ‘Omkara’ it will be her first major performance-oriented role where she would also be de-glamourised,” confirmed a source to a daily.

Meanwhile, actor Ajay Devgn, who is basking in the glory of the success of his recent blockbuster ‘Bol Bachchan’, seems eager to work across Kareena for Jha’s sequel. And what waits for us to see, is whether the chammak-challo Kareena will be able to pull off the role of the Prime Minister of the country or not!
