Mumbai: Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Asin Thottumkal promoted their upcoming action comedy film ‘Khiladi 786’ by interacting with the audience at a musical programme organised here.
The film marks the return of Kumar to his famous ‘Khiladi’ film series after 12 years. Kumar said: “It was an experience, which has been great and I hope this association goes on and on for a longer period. Because I had given up action and after Rowdy Rathore, I started doing action, so I decided to do it now.” The music of the film is composed by Himesh Reshammiya, who is also a part of the star cast. Reshammiya belted out popular numbers of his film and left the audiences gasping for more. Kumar added that the event was organised for the success of the music of the film. “This is for the music and there will be something musical during the show. This is not for the stunts, but success of the music. It is because of the audience that it has become successful, so we decided to do it for the audience, for the youth, for the people. So, this is for them, this has got nothing to do with action, there won’t be any kind of stunt in it,” he said. Asin Thottumkal said: “Yes, I play a Maharashtrian girl for the first time. Her name is Indu Tendulkar, and the first time, I got to wear Kashta and be the Maharashtrian bride. I do speak accented Hindi in the film. So, it’s been fun.” Mithun Chakraborty, Paresh Rawal and Himesh Reshammiya also appear in pivotal roles. The film is set to release on December 7. ANI
