Akshay Kumar’s ‘Housefull 2’ rakes in the moolah

Mumbai: Here’s some good news for all the fans of Akshay Kumar. The superstar’s latest flick ‘Housefull 2’ is keeping the Box Office busy and has already collected Rs 43.5 crores over this weekend. Directed by Sajid Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the sequel to ‘Housefull’ is the year’s second biggest grosser after Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Agneepath’. The film did brisk business on Monday and is a super success overseas as well. Tweeting about the film’s Box Office performance, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “#Housefull2 is @akshaykumar `s biggest opener, collects Rs 43.5 cr in opening weekend(sic).” “#Housefull2 - Fri 14 cr, Sat 13 cr, Sun 16.5 cr. Total: 43.5 cr nett. Is the second biggest opener of 2012 so far, after #Agneepath(sic)”, Taran added. Taran tweeted, “#Housefull2 Monday *early estimates* 6.75 cr to 7 cr nett. Excellent!(sic).” So will ‘Housefull 2’ break ‘Agneepath’s record? We will have to wait and watch!
