‘Andaz Apna Apna sequel’: No Crime Master Gogo?

Mumbai: The cult film - ‘Andaz Apna Apna’- that released in 1994, starring Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor has left an indelible impact on the minds of the movie goers. A sequel to the film is in the pipeline and industry heavyweights- Aamir and Salman have been approached for the same. Actors Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor too played pivotal roles in the classic comedy. Shakti Kapoor’s character- Crime Master Gogo - turned out to be an iconic one. The character’s attire, hairdo and dialogues had become a huge hit. But whether or not, he will play the same character in the sequel to the 1990s blockbuster is a big question. Apparently, Kapoor had abused Salman Khan in a drunken state a few years back. The veteran actor, who is popular for playing grey characters, had bad mouthed the superstar and therefore, might not work in the sequel to the super hit film. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ also featured veteran actors Devan Verma, Jagdeep, Viju Khote and late ace comedian Mehmood.
