Mumbai: Even though Prakash Jha’s ‘Raajneeti’ is branded as a hard-hitting political drama, it’s garnering controversies for all the wrong reasons. News has it that Arjun Rampal shot a stormy love-making scene in Jha’s ‘Raajneeti.’ It is believed that the love-making sequence with a theatre actress, was so explicit that it was scrapped from the theatre version of the film, while it will be retained in its DVD version. The lovemaking scene was deleted from ‘Raajneeti’ so as to get clearance from the Censor Board. Arjun Rampal, who plays a politician in the film, was shell-shocked when he saw the footage of his love-making sequence so much so that he and Prakash Jha were uncomfortable with the graphic details of the scenes. News has it that Arjun became so uncomfortable with the scene that he asked the director to re-shoot the entire sequence. Well, even as the director and actor are tight-lipped on the details of the scene, a source said that it involves a female electoral aspirant, who approaches Rampal for election ticket and can do anything for it. Talking to a news daily, a source said, “The girl begins to seduce Arjun. They end up making torrid love. This is where the content went out of hand.” When contacted Prakash Jha, the director confirmed the reports and said, “Yes, it’s true that we removed the love-making scene before submitting it to the Censor Board. But we plan to include it in the DVD version.”
