Mumbai, April 05: Now here is a movie that had been lying in archives for about 37 years, waiting to be released. Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha starrer ‘Yaar Meri Zindagi’ that was shot in 1971, shall now finally get its share of the limelight.

The film that was directed by Ashok Gupta in 1971 had been collecting dust due to certain legal issues that the flick was entangled in. Apparently, the director and the financer had some irreconcilable differences over which the movie was dragged to court.

However, with the legal tussle finally coming to an end, the film is expected to be released by the end of this month.

Ashok Mishra, who has bought the rights of the film reveals, "Gupta had signed on Amitabh even before the release of Anand, but the film got stuck because of actors dates, financial problems and ego issues."

Well, one thing that has not changed over all these is that Amitabh is still very much a crowd puller that he once used to be. But Gupta is not that optimistic and is only releasing 20 prints across Maharashtra.

Another flick that met a similar fate was Raj Kapoor and Ashok Kumar starrer ‘Chor Mandali’. The film too was stuck in a legal web, but is now expected to hit the screens.

Well, the brighter side viewers will get to relive the past.
