Mumbai: Before anyone jumps into any kind of conclusion, let us be clear that John Abraham and Bipasha Basu are trying to revive their relationship in any way. The two will simply be starring together in a song sequence in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Shootout at Wadala’. It can safely be said that Ekta has clearly pulled a casting coup of sorts by getting the former lovers together on screen albeit for one song. A tabloid has revealed that Bipasha would be starring opposite Manoj Bajpai and will feature in a special song with John Abraham and Tusshar Kapoor. Speaking to the tabloid, a source revealed, "Bipasha was signed long back, even before the film had its grand muhurat at Mehboob Studios, where the entire cast was revealed. However her name wasn`t announced. The whole idea of the makers was to announce her name during the release to use it as a marketing gimmick." "Bipasha is paired opposite Manoj Bajpai. Incidentally, she plays a prostitute in the film who is instrumental, though indirectly, in the death of Dawood Ibrahim`s (Sonu Sood) brother, Sabbir, essayed by Bajpai. John`s Manya Surve masterminds the execution of the brother of his biggest rival Dawood and declares war. Incidentally, John and Bips will be seen shaking a leg in the song, along with Tusshar Kapoor,” added the source. Considering that the two parted on bitter terms, wasn’t there any apprehension on either actor’s part to feature in a song together? "Contrary to one`s expectations, Bipasha had no objections in doing the film in spite of the fact that she had to shoot an entire song which would require three to four days at least. Also John was quite cool about it," said the source. With Deepika-Ranbir and Katrina-Salman making peace with their past and agreeing to do films together, John and Bipasha perhaps realised that avoiding each other professionally would harm their respective careers.
