London: Kareena Kapoor says that her forthcoming film ‘Bodyguard’ starring Salman Khan promises fun and dance but at the same time has ‘backbone and soul.’
The romantic-action film, will see the 30-year-old star play a college girl Divya, whose life is under threat. “‘Bodyguard’ promises fun and dance. This film has a backbone and soul. Salman Khan has not done a love story for 4-5 years. Of course, there is action as well.”
"It is very different from whatever I have done. This is a Desi role and I have a very substantial part in this. I think every viewer always looks for entertainment. Obviously they want entertainment," said Kareena.
Salman Khan plays a bodyguard of Kareena`s character in this film directed by Siddique, who has also made its original Malayalam version and the Tamil version titled `Kaavalan`.
The film is produced by Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Agnihotri and Reliance Entertainment.
Besides Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor, the cast also includes Raj Babbar, Mahesh Manjrekar, Hazel Keech and Katrina Kaif who will be seen in a special appearance in song `Aaya Re Aaya Bodyguard`.
