Mumbai: People possess poor memories it seems. Off late, Ram Gopal Verma, one of the finest directors of Bollywood has not been received well by the critics. The director who has created masterpieces like ‘Satya’ and ‘Company’ has been a constant victim of criticism owing to his “not so good choice” of scripts, if one can say.

Having said that, the fact that RGV is a genius, cannot be overruled. Not to forget, he is the one behind the super success of the flamboyant ‘Rangeela’. Of course perfectionist Aamir Khan had an equal role to play.

His new contemporary Sajid Khan is all praise for the director-producer. Expressing his views to a news daily, Khan said, "I feel RGV is an underrated filmmaker. We should never forget his genius when he gave us some of the most amazing cinematic pieces like ‘Satya’ We should judge RGV by his best work and not his worst. If he can make films like ‘Rangeela’, ‘Satya’ and ‘Company’, it will be a huge mistake to write him off because he can spring back anytime."

Nevertheless, a dare-devil that RGV is, he continues to remain unaffected by adversities.

RGV’s next film ‘Rakta Charita’ starring Vivek Oberoi is due for release. All one can do is wait and watch if his latest flick showers him with accolades or becomes a fodder for the critics.
