Kolkata: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is planning to set up an entertainment task force to bring commerce and creativity on a single platform for the growth of the Bengali film industry.
"We want commerce and industry to come together, and connect the film industry with mainstream business. We are planning to set up an entertainment task force to take the entertainment industry forward. We will start with Bengali film industry," said Sanjay Budhia, chairman of CII`s national committee on exports.
"The task force will be set up in January next year," said Budhia, on the sidelines of a felicitation programme for Bengali movie "Moner Manush".
"Moner Manush", directed by Gautam Ghose, bagged the Golden Peacock award at the just-concluded International Film Festival of India.
