Curly beauty Kangna Ranaut bags Ekta’s next horror flick
Mumbai: Well, horror seems to be Kangna’s favourite genre. Buzz has it the ‘Gangster’ beauty Kangna Ranaut has agreed to play lead in a yet another horror flick to be made by Ekta Kapoor, tentatively titled ‘Raggini MMS’.
According to sources, the inspiration behind the film transpires from a real life paranormal activity involving a young couple.
So when the same couple approached Ekta with a video tape that showed the girl possessed by something paranormal during their lovemaking session, Ekta was convinced of making a film on it.
Speaking to a daily, Ekta said, “I am super excited about this project. It has none of the conventional horror film trappings like bloodbaths, gore or creaky doors.” She adds, “I could have gone ahead and made another LSD 2, but I didn`t want that. When I read the script for Raginni, I knew it would be kick-ass. I am a huge fan of horror films like ‘Paranormal Activity’ and ‘Blair Witch Project’ and the way they have been marketed are brilliant.”
“We plan to devise new and unique ways to create buzz about Raginni in the coming months”, she added.
Ekta Kapoor plans to announce the film on ‘Bigg Boss’ show in the presence of the host Salman Khan.
And since the film is going to be a psychological spine-chiller, the decision to cast Kangna Ranaut in the lead seems just apt!
