Mumbai: Bollywood producer Ramesh Taurani got the shock of his life when dusky beauty Deepika Padukone dumped ‘Race 2’ within four days of shoot, courtesy date issues.
After Sonakshi Sinha, Deepika is the second A-list star to quit the high profile venture.
Talking to a daily, a source close to Deepika said, “Deepika had issues with the dates. Moreover she was irritated by the constant change in the shooting schedule of the film.”
‘Race 2’ includes Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Amisha Patel. “In a bid to accommodate all their dates, Deepika had to sacrifice her own. And Tips expected a commitment of 60 dates from her this year. Given that she had already committed dates to Ayan Mukherji, she was in no mood to rework her schedule again. She didn’t want to be a part of the film anymore and walked out of the film,” added the source.
When contacted, Deepika remained unavailable for comments.
