Documentary on ‘Mughal-E-Azam’ by Shah Rukh Khan

Mumbai: Perhaps the most grandiose canvas created by Indian cinema of its time, film ‘Mughal-E-Azam’ has caught the attention of Bollywood’s badshah Shah Rukh Khan as he readies to develop and launch a documentary out of the classic masterpiece.

According to reports, Shah Rukh Khan has brought out a 40-min documentary of the film titled `Mughal-E-Azam - A Tribute By A Son To His Father`, which has been made under the banner of his home production Red Chillies Entertainment. It’s been revealed that SRK has rendered his voice for narration.

SRK is said to have made the documentary after he met Akbar Asif, the son of Mughal-E-Azam’s director K Asif. Sources confirm that the docu includes special inputs by several industry dignitaries.

Interestingly SRK is a proud owner of the original camera on which the film was shot and it is one of the most treasured items in Mannat, his home.

Fans of the film eagerly await the launch of the docu as the film undoubtedly remains India’s most celebrated cinema and the fact that SRK found a muse in it makes it even more special.
