Mumbai: Director Mani Shankar bonded big time with actor Sanjay Dutt on the sets of their recently released ‘Knock Out’. And now the director is all set to take his friendship with Dutt to another level. Buzz has it that Mani is planning his next venture on yoga guru Baba Ramdev and wants none other than Sanjay Dutt to play the lead protagonist.
According to the reports, Mani and ‘Knock Out’ co-producer Amitabh Parekh recently met with spiritual guru, Baba Ramdev at Chandigarh. Baba Ramdev was there to address his disciples.
Mani Shankar also arranged for a special screening of ‘Knock Out’ in Chandigarh to fulfill Baba Ramdev’s desire to watch the movie.
Apparently, the spiritual guru was quiet impressed by the film ‘Knock Out’ and Sanjay’s acting in the movie. Going by the reports, Baba Ramdev sent out messages to his six crore devotees recommending the film after the screening took place.
When contacted by a news daily, an excited Shankar said, “I’m very impressed by Baba Ramdev’s Swabhimaan Andolan. I wanted to make a film on the subject for a very long time. It was ominous that while I was in Chandigarh with Baba Ramdev, I got to know that Sanju was blessed with twins. I think the two Babas in my life were always fated to come together.”
