Mumbai: Actress Eesha Koppikar Narang is clueless why filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is not promoting her much delayed film `Shabri`, which he produced.
"Pls ask RGV I`m not too sure why such step motherly treatment towards Shabri. And honestly it does not matter to me. It`s releasing and I am thankful to God. Yes it`s really
sad. RGV being the producer hasn`t participated at all in the interviews or release (sic)," she wrote on twitter.
The film was completed long back but could not see the light of the day for almost four years due to a dispute between Varma and distributors Adlabs.
Earlier, Eesha had worked with Varma in `Company`, delivering the hit item number `Khallas`, which earned her the moniker `Khallas-girl`.
`Shabri`, is about a woman, played by Eesha, who becomes the first female crime lord in Mumbai.
Directed by debutante Lalit Marathe, the film which also features Manish Wadhwa, Pradeep Rawat and Zakir Hussain releases tomorrow.
